Urbaniak et al. audited the response to a new neonatal guideline. There was a 56% adherence leading to fewer blood transfusions.
Delivering care for Pregnant Women with Rheumatic and Musculoskeletal diseases
O'Farrell et al. report on the services available for pregnant women with rheumatic conditions. The development of a national clinical pathway is needed. One of the current issues is the lack of shared care rheumatology /obstetric clinics.
Survey of patient attitudes of face-to-face and telemedicine teaching in COVID-19
Coady et al. surveyed 229 inpatient and outpatients. They had a positive attitude towards both face-to-face and telemedicine teaching. However they preferred the former.
Bond and McNicholas surveyed the opinions of 102 psychiatrists on their response to above report. The sentiments expressed included decrease in motivation, and increased stress levels.
Loneliness amongst Older Hospital Inpatients: Prevalence and Associated Factors
Maden et al. surveyed 107 inpatients. Half reported some degree of loneliness and 1 in 7 reported higher degrees of loneliness.
Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome: A National Survey
Tamgumus et al. have surveyed the management of NAS nationally. All units use Oromorph and 66% use Phenobarbitone as a second line medication. 66% have a non-pharmacological plan, and 24% provide specific parent education.
